Defence Housing Australia (DHA) is undertaking the masterplanning process for its Mount Lofty project, where it plans to create a sustainable residential community for Defence families and the local community, with land lots to be made available for public purchase, when developed.

DHA has invited the Toowoomba community to participate in a conversation about preliminary planning for future development of part of the land on the former Defence Rifle Range site, located on the corner of Rifle Range Road and Martini Street at Mount Lofty in Toowoomba, southeast Queensland.

As part of a comprehensive engagement program, DHA invites locals and other interested parties to contribute to the masterplanning process. In addition, a Community Reference Group provides an opportunity for selected members of the community to meet and discuss matters relevant to developing the masterplan.

The Mount Lofty landholding represents an opportunity to significantly contribute to the Toowoomba region, for the benefit of the whole community. Engagement with the community is the first step towards creating a masterplan which aims to be respectful to the site, inclusive of stakeholders, and ultimately provide a sustainable asset to the Toowoomba region.
